Home page
This is a standard page on all websites that says briefly what products and services the business offers and who are its ideal customers. From reading this page a visitor could expect to know whether the products and services were of potential interest to them. It is a good idea to include a picture of yourself on this page so that people know who they are dealing with.
About Us
Some information about your business, yourself and your background and interests.
Contact page
This page tells people how to contact you. Many businesses like to include contact details on every page to make it easy for people to get in touch. On the contact page, you would also include a Contact Form with a box for people to send you queries they may have.
Search this site page
This allows visitors to search your site for specific items.
Paymate payment page
We recommend that you start with a simple payment system like Paymate (an Australian company) until your business builds to the point where it makes sense to install a regular Shopping Cart.
Services and Products 1
This is a more detailed 'list' with a brief description of each item. As you grow your business and your website, you will probably want to expand individual items on the list into separate pages. It is a good idea to include images relating to your products and services where possible. The Light Box installation will enable your visitors to click on an image and enlarge it for closer inspection. Eight pages would allow you to create three different 'Services and Products' pages. These could include information of interest to potential clients such as testimonials, more detailed information about a particular service or product you offer, or links to other sites. If you are a professional you will probably want to link to the site of your professional association(s) so that visitors can find out more about your modality.

Services and Products 3
If you want other features, please talk to us about what you have in mind. We may be able to supply what you want at no extra cost. If there is a cost, we will give you an estimate and explain what is involved.
Graphics and Design
The better the quality of graphics you provide to us, the better the result will be on your site. Please let us have graphics in digital form if possible. Even the best quality images require preparation time to ensure they are properly sized and positioned on the page and sufficiently 'light' so that they allow the page to be opened quickly.
Colours, Styles and Branding
Please let us also know your preferences for colour schemes and typeface/font. If you already are using a particular colour scheme, design and selection of typefaces/fonts on business cards and brochures and wish to carry these over to your website, we will try to incorporate this into your web design so as to preserve your 'branding'.
Copywriting and Search Engine Optimization
Potential customers searching for your products and services will have certain words and phrases in mind. These words need to appear on your pages and in the coding behind the pages. This is why copywriting and Search Engine Optimization are like two sides of the one coin.
It helps us if you can write down the information you want to appear on your website. However, don't panic if writing is not your strength. The words you send us will not necessarily be the finished product (unless of course you insist that we reproduce your wording exactly, which we are always happy to do). We will use the information you give us to draft the pages for your approval.
Our aim is to present your services and products in a way that reflects the kind of welcome you would want to give your visitors if you were greeting them on site and that attracts visitors with a genuine interest in and desire to purchase the kind of services and products that you offer.
And if you really can't write or don't have the time or inclination, then just tell us what you want. We will write it up and you can then change it to suit yourself once you see what it looks like on your site.
Scheduling the development
We like to complete the design to your satisfaction and agree the basic menu structure before adding too much information to your site. The reason for this is that each of our designs is unique and intended to reflect the spirit of your business. This takes time and thought. Once the initial draft design is complete, Bruce will ask you to go over it with him in a telephone discussion with you seated at your computer. That way, you can explain exactly what you like and don't like about the design. Bruce can often make changes on the spot.
Once you are happy with the design and menu structure, the information can be added as it becomes available. You will have a site that is up and running and starting to be noticed by the search engines.
When all the information is added our service continues. To be sure that the search engines are finding you, we monitor your site and do follow up checking and tweaking as part of our package.
We are pretty sure you will have further questions. Please feel free to ask them.
